We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Donna Veres on March 14, 2024. Born on August 6, 1941, Donna lived an enriched life full of love, laughter, and an enduring spirit. She was a beacon of acceptance, encouragement, and support, and her legacy will forever resonate within the hearts of those who knew her.
Donna was a devoted wife to Ronald Insalaco, whom she married in 1993, and they shared many beautiful years together. She was a loving mother to her children, Michael Nocher and Karen Holcom, and cherished every moment she spent with them. Her siblings, Peggy Wetzel, Debbie Jiblets, and John Veres, Jr., will remember their sister for her quick wit, engaging nature, and empathetic heart. She was predeceased by her father, John S. Veres, Sr. and mother Anna L. Veres.
Donna was a beloved grandmother to Casey Nocher, Morgan Holcom, and Maddox Holcom. Their relationship was marked by treasured memories and invaluable life lessons, one of the most significant being to accept our loved ones for all their positive traits.
Donna was a prolific reader with a penchant for novels. She was an ardent supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed gardening and spending quality time with her family and pets. Her favorite forms of exercise were walking outside and yard work. She had an indomitable spirit and a zest for life, and she found joy in all corners of the world, whether it be on any beach or riding motorcycles through the mountains.
Described as quick-witted, articulate, engaging, kind, loving, supportive, sarcastic, and empathetic, Donna was truly a gift to all who knew her. Donna's passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the good fortune to know her.
As we mourn Donna's passing, we also celebrate her life and the indelible mark she left on those around her. Her spirit will always live on in our hearts. She will be dearly missed by her immediate and extended family and friends.
