Michael Patrick Scicchitano



Michael P. Scicchitano, 53, of Florence, SC, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at his home after a prolonged illness. Michael was born in N. Syracuse, NY, a son of Martin Scicchitano and the late Mary Ann Duggan Scicchitano.
Michael was a respected leader at ADP for many years. He was an avid sports enthusiast and excelled in a variety of sports throughout his life. He loved hockey and his enthusiasm was contagious to his daughter Jessica. He also enjoyed many hobbies; among them were RC planes, drones, kayaking, and fishing. Mike became a licensed pyrotechnic engineer and used his talent to put on many shows in his hometown. He was proud that his largest display was held on an Aircraft Carrier at Cape Canaveral. Mike was also the founder of the Pee Dee Kayak Anglers Club. A motorcycle enthusiast that excelled at refurbishing cycles of all kinds. On weekends he loved building grills and smokers for his family and friends.
Michael is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Patricia Vitulano Scicchitano; his loving daughter, Jessica Scicchitano of Florence; two brothers, Joe Scicchitano (Jennifer), Steve Scicchitano (Debbie), and a sister, Mary Frances Fabian (Bernie); as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
A Christian Wake Service will be said at 7 PM on Monday, September 25, with visitation following until 9 PM at Cain Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home. A Catholic Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
